STRIKE A CHORD 2025: THE ROAD TO THE FINAL

With the Foundation and Championship First Round results now in, we’re officially on the road to the 2025 Strike A Chord National Final.

A huge congratulations to every student who took part in this year’s competition. From brave first-time entries to standout performances in the Foundation Section and First Round, this year proved just how alive chamber music is in schools, studios and communities across Australia.

Now, the spotlight shifts to the 12 groups heading to Melbourne for the National Final on Saturday 30 August. These young musicians have earned their place on the Elisabeth Murdoch Hall stage – and we can’t wait to see what they bring to the concert hall.

Twelve school-aged groups have been selected to perform live at the 2025 National Final at Melbourne Recital Centre.

Explore their bios, and see who's playing what.
