PIANO TRIOS

Albéniz Trio was founded in 2019 at the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid, under the tutelage of Günter Pichler, Márta Gulyás and Heime Müller. 

They have obtained the “Jeunesses Musicales” Prize, the 1st prize in the “Antón García Abril” International Competition, the 1st Prize and the “Arthur Rubinstein” Special Prize in the “Kiejstut Bacewicz” International Competition and the “Ensemble Emergente” Prize of FestClásica in Spain. 

The trio has performed in venues such as the Sony Auditorium, Fundación Juan March, Rubinstein Filharmonia, Schloss Johannisberg and Tauberphilarmonie. Likewise, the trio has been part of the Rheingau Musik Festival, Hohenloher Kultursommer, Granada International Music Festival and Quincena Musical de San Sebastián in Spain. Albéniz Trio has worked with artists such as Quatour Ébène, Péter Nagy, Marianna Shirinyan, Cuarteto Casals and Matthew McDonald. In addition, they are part of the chamber music chair at the "Hochschule für Musik und Theater" in Munich, Germany, where they work with pianist Dirk Mommertz and the Quatour Ébène. 

Trio Bohémo was founded in 2019. The members of the ensemble are Jan Vojtek, piano, Matouš Pěruška, violin and Kristina Vocetková, cello. Despite all members being from the Czech Republic, they met in Budapest, Hungary and shortly after decided to form a piano trio together.  

A few months following their establishment, they were awarded 2nd prize at the prestigious Gianni Bergamo Award in Lugano, Switzerland. Following this success, the trio has been selected to join the Le Dimore del Quartetto network, which later awarded them the prize for the ensemble of the year 2021. In summer 2021, they were awarded special prizes for the Best Interpretation of the Work of Viennese Classicism, Czech Contemporary Chamber Music and Work by Bohuslav Martinů at the ISA Festival in Austria. Only a few days later, they won the first edition of the International Filippo Nicosia Award in Italy. In September 2021, the trio won the first prize and the prize of the audience at the International Johannes Brahms Competition in Austria. In October 2021, they won the International Parkhouse Award in London, UK and in February 2022 the trio was a guest of BBC Radio 3, for the In Tune show. In March 2022 the trio won first prize and prize for the best interpretation of S. Vainiunas composition at the International Stasys Vainiunas Chamber Music Competition in Vilnius, Lithuania. Only a week later they were awarded second prize (with no first prize awarded) and prize for the best performance of contemporary piece at the International Joseph Joachim Competition in Weimar, Germany. In the Summer 2022, the trio was awarded the Piano Chamber Music Award for the best chamber music group with piano at the ISA Festival in Austria.  

For the 2022/23 season, the trio was selected for the Britten Pears Young Artist Programme. Other highlights of the season include recitals in Wigmore Hall (London), Stoller Hall (Manchester), Solti Hall (Budapest) and appearances at festivals such as Classix Festival (Romania) and Shaldon Festival (UK). The trio will perform in various European countries such as Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Italy and the United Kingdom.  

In the past season they had their debut recital in Viennese Musikverein and performed at festivals such as Prague Spring Festival (Czech Republic), Schwarzwald Musikfestival (Germany), Lago Maggiore Musica (Italy) and Gent Festival van Vlaanderen (Belgium). Since 2020, they have been members of the European Chamber Music Academy, studying under the guidance of professors such as Hatto Beyerle, Johannes Meissl, Patrick Jüdt or Avedis Kouyoumdjian. The opportunities provided by the ECMA enabled them to perform at multiple stages across Europe. 

Trio Delyria was founded in the summer of 2020 in Frankfurt am Main/ Berlin by three Garman-based Israeli musicians, who came together at a challenging time with a shared love of the piano trio repertoire and the dream of exploring it together 

Within a few months, the Trio began to study with Prof. Angelika Merle at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts and has since then gained substantial experience and recognition by performing in major venues such as the Alte Oper Frankfurt and Laeiszhalle in Hamburg, as well as featuring on different radio stations in Germany and in Israel. They have won prizes at national and international competitions, including the Bad Homburger Förderpreis für Kammermusik and the 2nd prize along with the audience award at the International Schumann Chamber Music Competition, leading to an invitation to perform again at the Alte Oper in 2023. Other highlights of the coming season include debut appearances in different concert series in Frankfurt am Main, Baden-Baden, Hannover, Madrid and throughout Israel. 

The Trio is fortunate to receive lessons and advice from many of the top chamber music players and pedagogues in Germany and abroad. They are currently studying towards a Konzertexamen in the class of Angelika Merkle in Frankfurt and simultaneously attend the International Institute of Chamber Music at the Reina Sofia School in Madrid upon invitation of Günter Pichler, founder and primarius of the Alban Berg Quartett. 

In the fall of 2022, the Trio released its debut CD with works by Felix Mendelssohn and Paul Ben-Haim. 

Harmony, creativity and a thirst for discovery: this is what the piano trio Orelon, founded in Cologne in 2018, stands for. Violinist Judith Stapf, cellist Arnau Rovira and pianist Marco Sanna came together at the conservatoires in Cologne and Berlin. The members of the Trio Orelon are seeking harmony not only musically but also on a personal level. In doing so, they maintain an inquisitive and dynamic view of the works for their instrument combination and connect this with an irrepressible energy and desire for differentiated expression. Symphonic density, homogeneous sound, "chamber music intensity and emotionality" (FAZ) - these qualities were already attributed to the Trio Orelon shortly after its founding. 

In July 2022 the Trio Orelon won the first prize and the special prize for “the best interpretation of the contemporary piece” at the competition “Franz Schubert und die Musik der Moderne” in Graz, Austria. The Trio Orelon is also a prize winner of the Schumann Competition in Frankfurt, the Premio Trio di Trieste and the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University Competition 2021.  

Concert tours take the Trio Orelon to renowned concert halls including the Tonhalle Düsseldorf, the Laeiszhalle Hamburg and the Gewandhaus Leipzig. The three musicians present their enthusiasm and curiosity for innovative and thematic programmes, in which they combine classical repertoire with lesser known and undiscovered works. In the course of their repertoire research, the Trio Orelon developed the project "Beethoven's Daughters”, which focuses on the literature of female composers and relates them to their predecessor Ludwig van Beethoven in moderated concerts. 

Founded in 2016 at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris, the Trio Pantoum has established itself as one of the most promising European chamber music ensembles of its generation. Already prize winners of numerous international competitions (Trio du Trieste, Joseph Joachim in Weimar, Lyon, FNAPEC, Illzach, Bellan...) and acclaimed in major French and European venues (Switzerland, England, Norway, Germany, Italy, Belgium...), Hugo Meder (violin), Bo-Geun Park (cello) and Virgile Roche (piano) have studied with the Trio Wanderer, Claire Désert, François Salque, Louis Rodde, Hatto Beyerle, Patrick Jüdt, Johannes Meissl, Günter Pichler, Irvine Arditti, and Antonio Meneses, among others.  

Since 2022, the Trio Pantoum is an Ensemble of the ECMA (European Chamber Music Academy), and Resident at ProQuartet-European Chamber Music Centre. In 2022-2023, Hugo, Bo-Geun and Virgile will be Artists in Residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel (Belgium). 

Based in South Korea, Trio Unio is made up of violinist Eunji Kim, cellist Ah-Yeon Nam, and pianist Young Sun Choi. The Latin word ‘unio’ means ‘unite,’ or ‘combine into one.’ This name corresponds to their musical goal: to perform and sound as a united, single ego. The members of Trio Unio share the same educational background by graduating from the same music schools: Yewon School, Seoul Arts High School, and Seoul National University. This shared experience enables them to understand and bond with each other. 

All three members now are studying further in different countries: Korea, the USA, and Germany. The diverse musical experience gained in different countries has been adding significant variety to their music. As a 2nd prize winner of the 2022 Franz Schubert and Modern Music International Chamber Music Competition, Trio Unio has had many recitals in South Korea at venues such as Alpensia Concert Hall, LS Yongsan Tower Seoul, Ensemble Hall, Samik Art Hall, and Sharon Hall. Selected as one of the artists in ‘The House Concert’ series, they are going to have a recital in 2022. Trio Unio has had masterclasses from Jean-Marc Phillips-Varjabédian (Trio Wanderer), Hyo-Sun Lim (Ludwig Trio, Trio Gaspard), Jungran Lee, Jiyoon Park (Trio Jade), Svetlin Roussev, Leonard Elschenbroich, and Yeol Eum Son.
